Bio: The Alessandria family first established their farm in the village of Verduno in 1870. It was in Verduno where the first Nebbiolo's were bottled and was for most the 20th century, Verduno was the face of Barolo. 

Alessandro Batista and his brother Vittore work in the cellar, while their father Gian Battista manages the vineyards. 

The fruit selected for this bottling come from three estate parcels in Verduno (Neirane, Pisapola and Sotto Orsi). Depending on the vintage, as much as one third of the fruit also comes from declassified Barolo cru plots as this is the young vine, or little princes, selection.
