Bio: Bertrand Sourdais returned to his family estate in Chinon as his father approached retirement in the early 2000's. Bertrand was already a winemaker of acclaim having completed his oenology education in Bourdeaux, working as an assistant at Mouton-Rothschild, Santa Rita in Chile and Alvaro Palacios in Priorat.
His time spent as a winemaker in Spain made him well known in the Ribeiro del Duero and abroad.
Upon his return, Bertrand first converted the family estate to organic, then biodynamic and extended the maceration times for his wines from 12 days to upwards of 45 days. Les Pensees de Pallus is intended to be an encapsulation of Chinon.
