Bio: Moe Momtazi fled with his pregnant wife, Flora, from the violence of the Iranian Revolution in the early 1980's and made a home of Texas where he worked as a Civil Engineer. Many years later, he sold his own engineering firm and settled in McMinnville, Oregon. Moe and Flora bought 496 acres of fallow wheat fields in 1997 and what began as an investment became one of a handful of Demeter Certified vineyards in Oregon.
The vineyards are cultivated in accordance with their philosophy of 'from nature to nature.' Aside from new oak the wines see very interference from winemaker and second generation Momtazi, their daughter Tahmiene.
